Color/Aroma: 
Hint of cherries and chocolate, lightly spicy.
Palate: 
Definite coffee & chocolate flavors, medium spicy, medium alc.
Finish: 
Smooth, almost creamy
Overall: 
A surprisingly good merlot from the Columbia River valley near Walla Walla. Considering its price (at Trader Joe's), I rate this above average value. I would expect it to be very good with meats of all kinds.
